ABOUT US

EQ refers to Emotional Quotient, which defines our level of ability to interact successfully with others. This concept is becoming universally more popular and is all about increasing one’s performance in all domains, including the business, scholastic and personal context.

The ability to understand other people, help them enhance their life and be able to cope better, is exactly what Andrea, Jenna and Natalie pride themselves on doing in a highly skilled and professional environment.

Along with EQ, the team considers itself to be one of the most reputable neurofeedback and psychological practices in Durban and Johannesburg, with a focus on ethics and professionalism that serves as a central tenet to the manner in which they go about working with their clients.

Natalie Fourie
Natalie Fourie
Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology
Facilitator of Executive Coach
Neurofeedback Practitioner

Like you, Leadership & Behavioural Change expert Natalie Fourie has seen the concept of Leadership defined numerous ways over the years. Is it the ability to lead others, create lasting behavioural change or simply about will power or motivation? Is it desire and positive thinking? Is it all about the situation? Is it meant only for the chosen few? Or, is there a different story?

With 18 years experience, training business leaders both locally and internationally, Executive Coaching, Key Note Speaking and most importantly, real-life, in-the-trenches business experience, her view is radically different.

Natalie has come to appreciate, that Leadership is about Relationships, first the relationship with Self, then others.

It’s the ability to expand psychological capacity and the diligence to develop behavioural agility. It’s the ability to adapt our behaviour to produce the outcomes we actually want and not those we don’t; it is a moment-to-moment choice and not reserved for the select few or dependent on personality or trait. It is for everyone, everyday. It's how we should live our lives.

Natalie’s considerate, influential and often humorous facilitation style allows her to inspire new thinking, at a deeper level and to deliver material in a manner that is personally relevant. She has also been described as a “Change engineer” by her coaching clients for her skill to bring about the change they so desperately required.

Natalie’s fusion of real-life stories and delivery technique allow her to connect with her audience at an intimate, intense and individual level.

Natalie owns her own company, NB Fourie Consulting, where she designs training content around Change, Leadership and Team Integration, as well as offers Professional Coaching to Corporate South Africa.

She also serves as an independent senior consultant and facilitator for: Duke Corporate Education, EquiSight, The Human Edge and FranklinCovey South Africa.

She is a Certified Facilitator of world renowned and highly acclaimed: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People™; Leading at The Speed of Trust™; (FranklinCovey)
Crucial Conversations™, Crucial Accountability™, Change Anything™ and Influencer™ (Vital Smarts)
Duke Immersion Experiences – Change, Communication and Leadership.

She has facilitated throughout Africa, Mauritius, Dubai and the United Kingdom and continues to work with the best and brightest in the leadership and communication development field.

In 2014 she combined her passions, facilitation and horse riding, to join EquiSight; Equine Assisted Leadership Development, using horses as the mirror and medium for developing heightened self-awareness and a profound understanding of one’s own leadership competencies and potential.

Natalie is also a Professional Coach associated with the NeuroLeadership Group & Results Coaching Systems and focuses her approach on Neuroscience and brain based coaching.

Her continued interest in Neuroscience has led to a partnership with EQ- Advantedge, as a qualified Neurofeedback Practitioner. Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback that measures brain waves using real-time displays of brain activity through electroencephalography (EEG), to teach self-regulation of brain function. Neurofeedback training aims to teach the brain to attain an appropriate state and to be able to maintain that state which results in enhanced brain capacity for self-regulation, emotional regulation, concentration, ADD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, epilepsy and improved sports performance.

Highlights of her career include:
Managing the Country Partners in Africa for FranklinCovey South Africa. Meeting and working with the late great Dr. Stephen Covey, his son, Stephen MR Covey as well as learning from and working for New York Times best-selling authors, Joseph Grenny and Ron MacMillan of Vital Smarts USA.
